About Us:
Claire Amos, Founder of the WAS, is a highly experienced Registered Nurse and Independent Prescriber (BSc Hons) with a strong background in intensive care, district nursing, and palliative care specialist nursing. With over 15 years of expertise in aesthetics, she has built a thriving clinic and become a recognised leader in promoting safety within the industry.
Claire was a finalist at the Safety in Beauty Awards 2024 and has once again been nominated for 2025, reflecting her ongoing commitment to excellence. She holds a Level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Aesthetics, is a Level 3 Trainer, and a qualified IQA. As Director of the Safer Aesthetics Training Academy in Wales, a VTCT-regulated centre, she delivers the Diploma in Clinical Aesthetics as well as a wide range of CPD-accredited courses.
Passionate about advancing standards and supporting practitioners, Claire has personally trained and mentored over 300 students through her academy. She regularly attends international conferences, keeping at the forefront of innovation while recognising the need for high-quality educational events closer to home.
This led her to launch an aesthetics conference in Wales, providing practitioners with invaluable opportunities to learn from expert speakers, ask questions, and network with peers. The first conference was a huge success, hosting prestigious speakers, an exhibition hall featuring leading suppliers (including fillers, toxins, skincare, marketing, insurance, and pharmacies), and a welcoming atmosphere that fostered meaningful professional connections.
Claire believes conferences are vital for practitioner growth:
“Conferences build your confidence as an aesthetics practitioner. They allow you to hear from experienced speakers, engage in discussions, and create long-lasting professional relationships.”
With her unwavering dedication to patient safety and practitioner development, Claire continues to shape the future of aesthetics in Wales and beyond.
